Frances Semple is a working artist in both sculpture and painting. Her work has been shown internationally and is in collections throughout Canada and the United States. She began her formal art studies in 1975 focusing on sculpture and mould making at the Ontario College of Art (OCAD University). This included studies in Florence Italy, Edinburgh Scotland and Vancouver BC Canada where she completed her BFA at Emily Carr University of Art and Design (ECUAD).
Frances also has worked as a scenic artist in both film and theatre. She has traveled extensively including time spent in Abu Dhabi painting murals in a Sheik's palace. In 1989 she moved to the west coast settling in Victoria in 2000.
